They shoot photos, don’t they?

The downside to photographing ‘regular’ people is that they have a tendency to do silly things, like move or blink just as you are taking your perfect shot. The upside is, you can direct them (nicely) and request that they “hold” a certain posture (try doing that with your cat or dog the next time they do something adorable).

Professional models, on the other hand, know what is involved in holding a good shot. That’s why Dan McCormack’s workshops are so popular: Students know that he gets good models who often are artists themselves.

On Saturday, October 12th from 10am-4:00, beginning and advanced photographers will have the opportunity to work with said models for an entire day.  Dan McCormack will also explain how to work with a figure model, how to shoot with ‘hot lights’ and how to shoot with props.

Bring your camera, many rolls of film, extra batteries, extra memory card, tripod and any props you might find interesting for the model to work with.

As always, we highly recommend pre-registering for this workshop on line.
